Test Steps reordering

Post by jrachev »

Hello,

I'm just begining using testlink. However I had some test case already created and i comes to me the propblem with steps reordrering.
Is there some easy way to reorder test steps inside a test case?
I'm very pleased of the reordering test cases and test suites but why the test steps don't support this functionality drag and drop?
Thanks in a dvance

right now reordering can be done assigning a new step number to each step, using the icon present on screen on the steps table.
Reordering test cases and test suites is done via Drag & drop because there displaye using a tree component (that do not fit on the steps model display), that natively support D&D
Developing a drag & drop solution is not as easy as can see => we will study a solution for future releases

Hi,
Thank you very much. That pretty much solve my issue.
I've not noticed this functionality (the icon for reordering steps).
Best regards,
Jakim
