Test Cases and Time-Line + Dealing with Branches

Hi all,
We are currently checking an option to use TestLink.
After installing the system we have few questions:
1. Times = Is ther an option to set the time it takes to run each test, so , we will be able to get times in order to estimate the time it will take to a planned build cycle? (Hope you understand my Q).
2. Branches - when you have a bug fix, released as a new special branch, do you create a new "build" under the current test plan and run it , or, is there additional option to deal with branches that created by R&D in order to check if a certain Bug was fixed (If the testing passed, it will be added to the Version but till then, there are different branches to be tested separately).

Thank you,
Regards,
NPG

NPG,

1. We have two costum fields avaliable for caliculating the estimated and actual time taken to exccute of each test case, you can find these related documents in the

testlink folder\third_party\user_contribution

2. This all depends on how you want to organise your reports, When reports generated with repect to the build, you can create multiple builds and assignments can be done in any ways this is solved in 1.9 above versions. Please take your time in understanding the TestLink and your process to organise, so that you can allign your process with testlink which makes simpler for you to understand the things

Thank you Amaradana for this important and useful information.
I'll try adding these fields into the TestLink UI.
Thank you!
