Linguistic Testing

Post by Sieben »

I'm interested in using a test management tool like TestLink to execute linguistic testing cases. That means the primary focus is on linguistic quality of the software strings visible in the test case, not on functional issues.

I'm a rookie in test case software and just spent few hours getting a market overview. Having looked at TestLink I liked it a lot, but it seems to me that there is no good workflow for having the same test case executed by multiple testers. In my use case, 10+ language teams would have to execute the same test case individually, and results would need to be tracked seperately as well. Test case failure in one language would need to be addressed individually.

Obviously one way to do that would be to duplicate the test suite 10+ times, one copy for each language. But that would make changing cases and other test management very time-consuming.

Many thanks in advance to all for pointers. And thanks to the team for putting this software out for free.

Create custom field language and add results for one build with different languages. It should work for you.
