Tree link

Post by radhoo »

Hello,

I have a small problem in using testlink. I added som descriptions to some test suites in edit mode and I can't see them in execute mode. When I press on a test suite (folder with testcases) the link is not working at all, nothing is showed. Can you please help me with this... or prompt me to the file I need to edit.

Thanks.

I have added a description to a test suite in Edit Testcase menu.
I can't browse that description when I am executing the test. When I press on the test suite nothing happens (no description is showed in the right frame).
If I press on a testcase the description, steps and expected result appears.

I got your point. We dont show the test suite details when your executing.

we don't show it the execution part. if you think this is a problem. Please raise a issue in the tracker.

For me this is not a problem/issue. workaround for you generate a test specification document and save it.

well if I write a description for a test suit, I will need it in execution... but if I can't see it, I can't execute the test correct.

I don't think every time you want to execute a test case, you go and click test suite, read description and then click test case you execute you do in this way for each and every test case?

If you think this is a critical issue for you, please report the defect in tracker and wait for the development team comments. Currently we are not supporting this way.

Well we are working with Nintendo and using LotCheck. For that, in each test suit there are some requirements, we can't write them in every test case for a test suite.

At least can you tell me where is the tree menu code where I can find the link code ?

There is a way that I can put the description from the test suite to a new testcase and have the testcase by default set to Passed ?

So there is a way to set a test case to a certain status by default ?
