Filter on priority or custom field when populating test plan

Post by timvdv »

Hello,

A quick question on future release(s) functionality - sorry if this question has been asked before:

We have many test cases in our test projects in Testlink - ranging from hundreds to thousands of test cases per project.
For this reason it would be very useful to be able to filter on specific fields, especially Priority, when assigning test cases to a test plan ("Add / Remove Test cases to Test Plan").
Also useful here would be the ability to filter on custom field values.
Is this something that is planned for future releases?

(For clarification - See also the "Filter & Settings" feature on the "Test Case Execution" page - this offers filtering on Priority, and on custom field values.)

The idea is to be able to assign test cases to different test plans based on criteria like test case priority or custom field values so new test plans can be created based on filters (e.g. high priority test cases --> high priority test plans) to a knowledgeable for a specific feature (e.g. based on custom field values for test cases - e.g. different OSes etc.)

Or is there another way to do this that I overlooked?

Thanks in advance!

That would be an important feature for me too.
Could be that this should work and it is a bug, that is does not.

1. 1,8.x is not supported anymore => upgrade to 1.9.1 and retest
2. if problem persist report as issue on mantis
