you would need to affix the test case id prefix and then search. on home page set a test case prefix for test case id for your projects, and then by using it, u can search. Incase there is a specific issue, please detail it more

doesn't work for me

This should be simple. My test case id prefix is CDU-250.

In the test case id field, I enter CDU-250-158. All other fields are empty. I click on the Find button. The result is 'Your search delivered no results!'. And yes, this test case DOES exist.

If I search on CDU-250-, the result is: 'Too many results. Please, set a more specific criteria for the search.'

What am I missing?

have the same problem

I'm having the exact same problem.
I'm using 1.8.2 and I get the same message whenever I try to search with exact test case id.
Searching for test case id should be the simplest thing in the world. What have we missed?

Please help out!

Hi, just realized that this is probably due to that our prefixes include a dash ("-"), in my case, "ERS-316".
Just created a new test project which doesn't have a dash in the prefix and searching for those test cases works!

So, simple workaround should (could?) be to just edit your test projects and change the name of the prefix.

Did anybody add an issue for this in mantis? Otherwise, I'll do it.

Ok, checked in mantis.
It was added just a couple of weeks ago, and the fix will be in 1.9 release (according to issue 3021)
