Problem with Test Case Assignment to Users

Hi all,

We manage several test projects under testlink. We do not wish that everybody has access to all projects. Thats why we give default "No Rights" to users when we create them.

When we assign these people to a project, we give them then the required role. Therefore, these people only have access with specific rights to their projects only.

The problem that we encounter is:
We do not manage to assign a user which has no rights at a tool level but the appropriate rights at a project level.
The testplan assignment dropdown list only contains the users that have the appropriate role at a tool level and not at a project level (ie administrators and leaders).

Does anybody else encounter this problem?

We are currently working on Testlink 1.8 RC4

I have the same problem with version 1.8.2.

Is this by design, or a bug?
Does anyone know a way to work around the problem?
