Hello keshavweb
You have the possibility to activate or deactivate your builts.
When you activate Built2, and deactivate Built1+3, then you can generate reports of your Built2.
Where can you deactivate the Builts? In the same area where you create the Builts.
Active / Inactive – defines whether the build can be used. Inactive builds are not listed on the execution and reports pages.
Open / Closed – Only for open builds, test results can be modified.

Shm,

Here, there are two testers are testing 2 different builds, so both the build should be in active state,

Basically, we need drop down menu for the different build to generate different reports, so we can choose the reports based on the test results we required

Test Reporting is based on idea that you would like to have final results related all Test Plan.
There is already request to have build specific report in our tracker. You can contribute appropriate code or state your interest to this issue (I mean describe your use case or requirements). So we will understand better what is wanted ;-)

You can also consider to have more Test Plans if your work is divided to particular builds.

This does not seem to be the case for TestLink 1.8.3.
Test reports take also into account deactivated builds ( for instance the "Test report" and "Not run Test Cases" reports )
This has worked in previous versions?
If this is intended to work I guess I can report a bug

It was stated "There is already request to have build specific report in our tracker." What is the tracker number so that I can review the details of that request?

Thanks,

I'm in the same situation right now and i'm not sure if understand it right.

I currently have two builds in one test plan. I have already finished test execution with build 1, so I deactivated build 1 and created build 2. Now, when i checked the reports, it still showing me results for build 1, particularly on General Test Plan Metrics, Charts, Not run Test Cases, Blocked Test Cases, Failed Test Cases, Test Cases with Custom Fields info, Metrics dashboard ...

Now im lost, and cannot track absolutely what's happening for the current build im testing.

BTW, for the Test result matrix, it shows current build result which is correct.

Any ideas where I went wrong?

reports issue

Well, how actually maorazon has stated before me, reports aren't consistent when multiple builds are available for the same testplan.

An option to generate the report per build would be perfect.

Hi,
One test Plan can have many build, But the problem is we are showing the reports previous + current build, when execution starts for the current build. Off course this is an issue. But as ovidiu, you can maintain one build. Thout would fine, Please refer tracker there are already issues logged regarding this problem

The usage will be changed on how you track the history of the previous build and current build
Thanks,
