Arrangement in alphabatical order

Post by sangita »

Hi!
Is there a way to rearrange all the folders, subfolders and testcases in alphabatical or alphanumeric order. Currently it is all random.
Thanks

In the 1.7 version, there was an option to "Reorder Children" which would allow you to customize the order of the test cases. You could drag and drop each test case or folder to reposition them as you wished. This was a very useful feature. I don't see it in 1.8.3 though.

If it is no longer in 1.8 releases, I would urge them to bring that feature back.

Thanks Joe! I do not see that option in 1.8.3. Where can I post the request?
Thanks

Sangita,

I just found out that in 1.8.3, you can reorder the test cases by dragging and dropping them in the left pane.

This requires you to be using "EXTJS". This setting is set in the config.inc.php file.

Steps:
Select "Edit Test Cases" from the main screen.
On the left, expand the directories so you can see the test cases.
Left-click and hold on a test case (Hold the mouse button down).
Drag the test case to the position you want in that folder.
Release the mouse button.
You should see it move.

I hope this helps!
