Guys,
We are running LAMP architecture on one of our production box for TestLink 1.7.1 Application, today i used xampp and I can say its good, I checked it by taking db backup and restored it with TestLink 1.8 rc1, performance wise it looks fine....just wanted to confirm what are the pros and cons of using it in production.... please share your experiences.
currently we are using a Red Hat machine in production

Thanks

Hi,

I'm currently evaluating Testlink (1.8_RC3) on XAMPP for Linux 1.6.6. Performance on a Pentium III 512MB RAM system is reasonably good. I also use it via VPN link and have no problems with speed.

While there are currently only two users using it, the expected number of concurrent users is approx. 15, we do not expect to have to increase the hardware by much, if at all.

We are only into week 2 of the eval/configuration/setup phase and have not gone into 'production' mode yet. Ping me in approx 3 - 4 weeks, by then I hope to have this deployed.

Cheers,
J.

I deployed it already on my production server a week back and its good, I did not see any issue as of now, only thing I am worrying is about its security, if you can look through that point of view it would be great.

There is system requirement PHP version 5.2 only. Generally configuration of your Apache server could affect performance more than distribution.
