how to move data base to the testlink 1.8.5 from 1.7.5

I have manually set up testlink 1.8.5. i've also taken the database dump of testlink 1.7.5. i need to load this 1.7.5 data to database of 1.8.5.

is it possible to directly load that data into 1.8.5 or any changes/ scripts needs to be run before that?
please let me know.

After loading the data, is it possible to use those data with 1.8.5. i got this doubt is because, 1.7.5 there was no Test Case ID prefix used while creating project names.

I created new database, then ran sqls provided in 1.8.5 install/sql/mysql/testlink_create_tables.sql & install/sql/mysql/testlink_create_default_data.sql. Then changed DB_NAME to new database name in config_db.inc.php, i was able to login and create new projects, testsuits and test cases.

But Later i created one more db testlink2, ran install/sql/mysql/testlink_create_tables.sql & install/sql/mysql/testlink_create_default_data.sql provided in 1.8.5, then imported the database of 1.7.5, changed DB_NAME to testlink2 in config_db.inc.php. But after this i was not able to login. i.e. login page was empty. I restarted apache but no luck.

Can anyone guide me with the right step to follow??? I also checked in the forum for similar issue, but couldnt find answer for this. please help.

Can any one please tell me how i can upgrade database 1.7.5 to 1.8.5 manually?? i need to do manual upgrade is because, i dont have php 5.2 or greater versions since my linux box is rhel5.4 which uses php 5.1. so please advice me how to do manual upgrade.

I've not migrate manually.
