We need more information...

1. What IE version?
2. The message claims "...might cause it to work incorrectly", so is it working, or not?
3. What exactly are IE's messages? [copy paste them here, if you can]

IE shows the warning message, the main page frames are not being displayed. When I double click on the warning icon: the foolowing error message pops-up: The problem on this webpage might prevent it from being displayed properly or functioning properly.

Detaild pane display:
Line: 278
Character: 9
Error: Object expected
URL: http://servername/testlink_1.8_cr3/lib/ ... inPage.php

IE 7
Windows Server 2003
TestLink 1.8
on Mozilla Firefox, there error is not being displayed but the frame is not properly displayed. This only happen on the client machines but on the local machine I am not experiencing these errors.

I noticed in a previous post that the path contains 'testlink_1.8_cr3'.
What is the cr3?

I only ask because we do have an older 1.8rc3 [note the rc vs. cr], which was a very early [r]elease [c]andidate version.
The RC versions are for assessment before 'official' releases -- and could be quite buggy. So, if this happens to be the case, then install the latest 1.8.5 version.

To the same directory? Was it a 'clean' install?

I don't think so, as the messages now are reporting other files.

I'm still investigating...
(I don't have IE8 where I'm at right now, so it'll be later today before I can perform a check)

One other thing to try, is to use another tree type other than the default. (although the default is the recommended)
See the installation manual, section 5.7.1, page 27. This shows the variable that needs to be changed, located in config.inc.php.

I have tried different Menu layers as suggected and stipulated on the installation manual but the problem still persist. I have restarted Apache after the editing the menu tree but it never helped.

Thanks TurboT, Changing the TreeMenu reolved the problem but for as the EXTJS is prefered for best performance, I will be glad if we can get to the root cause of EXTJS menu.

Ext-js 2 is relatively old library and browsers have changed a little bit. These warnings should not affect a functionality.
You can use extjs 3 instead of. It works for me well.
