and
What did you change to get the import to work? I am having troubles with my import I keep getting dom messages.
Is there a section I can go to that shows me how to configure mysql to handle this import?

Repeat procedure in chapter 'Import Test Cases from Excel via XML' of User manual http://www.teamst.org/_tldoc/1.8/user_manual.pdf.
Use your data after this example will work for you.

Re: and
Hi,
First you have to create the test cases with keyword. Then export with those test cases.
1. Open the new excel sheet
2. Select "Data" from the menu
3. Select "XML" option, Select the exported XML file
4. Click on Import button
5. Then click on "OK" button on Import Data window
6. Now dummy test cases are displayed in Excel sheet
7. Then you will copy your test cases with keyword
8. Save as "XML Data"
9. Try to import test case
10. It will work for you

Not able to import the tesatcases : wrong xml test case file
Hey All;
I am kind of new to testlink so as usual I have lots of questions.
I have multiple test cases that are defined in a word document. Each function that is tested is defined in as an Appendix that we will use as the name of the Test Suite in Testlink, and all the test cases that will be used to validate that feature will be defined below that suite.
I have entered the suites in by cut and paste but there are 1500 test cases and I don't really feel like cutting and pasting them into testlink
I am using the multiple_tcases.xml format that you define in the docs file_examples folder.
I have built a couple of tools that will convert these to a test file and then I wrote a perl script to convert it to xml Using the format of that XML filed mentioned above.
1. Is this the right folder to use to import multiple testcases into testlink?
In the summary, steps and results tags there is a CDATA specified before the actual data.
Can you explain what the CDATA spec does? Do I really need it? is there a format definition?
Also it seems that the import feature is not recognizing my strings and keeps giving me errors for characters like - + $ % % etc.
I appreciate any help I can get for this! Thanks!
Bill
