Import doesn't do anything

Hi,

We can export any test case and test suite, but when we try to import this file (both in the same or another project) nothing occurs.

All I've found about something like this is "Export/Import has not fully support multibyte characters" into "Known issues", but I'm not sure if that's our problem.

What can I check?
I've tryied to modify the xml as well, but without success.

Hello community,

I am having the same problem as the poster above. my goal is to import test cases into a particular project. my first step was to create testcases in one project. next I exported them into an xml file. finally i created a new test project and would like to import this xml file. I go to home > edit test cases > import test suite > select file + click OK ... nothing get imported!

please help.

i would also like to add that i have tried importing one of the example xml test cases (/var/www/html/testlink/docs/file_examples/800-testcases. xml) without success..

Hi,

we could solve this problem a few hours ago.
Our problem was a missing php library (php dom document), which was into php-xml package. In our Windows instalation wasn't necessary to do anything, but it seems we had a customized php installation in linux.

thanks for your response.. you are absolutely correct: installing php-xml resolved the problem and importing testcases works!
