Need to see the "bug" field in execution page

Post by prvenkat »

Hi,

I would like to know how can I enable the "bug" field (text input field) in the execution page (below the notes and results ), so that people who execute can enter the bug number and save, and the bug numbers will show up in reports ( failed cases report etc ).

This on 1.7.4. We use siebel for managing our bugs, and I am not looking for connecting siebel with TestLink. i.e, I do not want TestLink to look for status of bugs.

Also, I would like to have these bug numbers shown as hyperlinks with some <prefix>bugno<suffix> in the reports and execution results.

Any help will be appreciated !

Giving the kind of help you need

This may not be the kind of help you asked for but it is the kind of help you need. That type of help is education on how to use an internet forum.

First, post your question in the correct forum. The name of this forum is "Installation and configuration problems". Your question has nothing to do with the intent of this forum. It's not even close.

After that, you need to see if there are any "sticky" posts at the top of the forum. Ones that say things like "PLEASE: readme before write!". AND THEN READ THEM. The content in those posts can keep people from trying to educate you on how to use an internet forum.

If you had taken the time to save our time and actually read those posts you would have found that the third entry in the post is:
Don't use the forum as a Bug Tracker - use http://www.testlink.org/mantis/login_page.php.

Though not a "bug", it is a feature request and, like many other projects, that is how feature requests are handled for this application.

It's a matter of respect. You have shown with your first post that you don't respect our time enough by taking the simple steps of figuring out out how to use this forum.

'Nuff said.
