How do I change the testcase counter?

So during my upgrade, something happened to my database and the testcase counter was reset. Whenever I create a new testcase, the numbering has started back at the beginning. I was well over 100 and since then I've been creating duplicate testcase numbers. I can manually go and change the ID in the database but it's a pain to do this so I was wondering where the counter is set and how I can set it to a new number to start from.
