having the rather unthankfull job of evaluating test management systems for the it-company i work for as a wa-manager, i more or less accidently stumbled over the testlink-pages at sourceforge. as i was testing a few other solutions as well (including full-blown commercial application), i decided to give it a try. not the worst decision i ever made, as i instantly fell in love with it.
installation went on like a charm, mantis integration is limited to a (yet sufficient) minimum, a clean userinterface, and a product-based approach (different to some other applications i evaluated). i immediately found all features i needed, and a few, i didn´t know i neede them.
to make it short: it´s great.
the roadmap as well looks quite promising. i wonder, if there is already a german localization team, that i could join. i had a look at the german string-file and found a few glitches, i would like to put straight. also i wonder, how the describing texts on the different pages (for example description of workflows) could be translated. to be honest, i´m a total dumbass, as far as php is concerned, but if i can lend you a hand on translating or polishing up german texts, i´d be glad to do that. feel free to contact me!
new to testlink totally amazed

Hello,
if you still like to contribute, there is a lot of work for you (-:
These things need to be done:
a) GUI translation
b) Online Help translation
c) Documentation translation
I think the best will be to get the latest TL 1.7-CVS Snapshot and have a look and take a look at a)
