I recently upgraded from 1.6.2 to 1.7.5 version of testlink.
When I execute or update via testlink page, the update shows up in the mysql db immediately. But when I make changes directly on the db, the change is not reflected on testlink. What might be wrong? Really appreciate some help here!

Thanks
Mysql updates are not reflected in testlink page

I have several testcases which I execute in testlink and post the results (PASSED/FAILED) etc. and the database reflects these changes.
Whereas minor edits in the mysql database like builds, add executions directly is not reflected in the testlink website(intranet).
I think for some reason, this works:
testlink update->mysql
and this does not work:
mysql->testlink.
I hope I am clear. I am trying to import several results in an automated manner on nightly testing using a perl script. It works for 1.6.2 version of testlink.
I did migrate to a newer database and newer server(on ubuntu).
Thanks
