Custom field management form

Post by fthierry »

Hi,

I use testlink 1.8.4.

I must create a custom field writable in Plan design and only readable in Execution forms.

In the doc (pdf), the custom field form seems to have many fields to choose show/enabled parameters.
When I m in this form, I can only see :
- name
- Label
- Type
-Enable on } in the doc, those 2 parts are repeated 3 times (test spec,
-Display on } execution and plan design) but not in my screen
-available on

I have only 1 combobox for enable on with 3 datas (test spec, execution and plan design)
can only choose 1 of those.
And for the display on combobox, it is only for the execution with the right datas (YES/NO)

Is it a bug ?
How can you define your Custom field like in the user_documentation.pdf ?

Thanks for help.

Best Regards

Fab

documentation is not updated.
Options for Custom fields from 1.8.4 and up are what you see on user interface.
best thing to do is play a little bit
may be some documentation can be found inside conf* files or directly on code

I haven't yet been able to find the right combo to allow a custom field when creating a new test plan.

Only fields available by default are Title, Description and Active. How do I add additional fields to test plans?

Thanks!
