Testlink, running tests using multiple environment

Hi,

Anyone here using Testlink with testcases which has multiple environment? If I understand correctly, 1 TestCase = 1 Pass/Fail result.
How do you update the test results on Testlink with multiple environment?
I found 2 options:
1. You can have custom field defined. But, the creating reports with the custom fields are not good.
2. You can link a testcase with multiple testplans. Does that mean testcase in each environment will have different test case ID?

The above were with the older versions of testlink. Are there any better way of doing this in the latest version? Or is there any other elegant way of handling this in testlink?
