Linking modified tests to test plans

Post by pvkamath »

Hello,

I am a newbie to test link and had a question regarding the linking of tests to test plans.

What we have seen is that once a test is included in a test plan, then any changes to the original tests is not reflected back in the test plan. I.e. if Plan A has test 1 (old version) and if test 1 is modified later (new version), then Plan A still has the old version of test 1.

Right now, we manually include the newly modified test into the test plan but that is a hassle on two counts
1. If a test is included in multiple plans then every plan has to be modified individually.
2. When we include the newly modified test in the plan, we lose the record of passes/fails of the test in previous runs of the plan.

Right now, we are using version 1.5.0.RC1 version of test link.

Any help is appreciated,

Just update to TL 1.6.0 or 1.5.1. There is a page which shows all TCs which were modified and allows to update these TCs.
This page is not available in your version.
