How to automate testcase result xml upload

I created via CI a testlink.xml which can be uploaded to testlink via GUI and I see the latest results in the system then. All is fine.

Now I would like to automate that POST action somehow, perhaps using that API key, even if that is no RPC API. Is there any workaround I could use to automatically upload that xml file?
