Based on my experiences recently of losing Testlink - see earlier post Error 1045: access denied - how can I install Testlink on our production server that also houses Bugzilla? Both will use Mysql. We discovered in our sandbox environment Mysql did not like two instances running that were configured for the same port 3306.
Is their a recommended way of installing Testlink and Mql in such an environment? Can the one instance of Mysql be configured to safely support these two independent apps. I do not want either product to interfere with the other. And if push comes to shove Bugzilla is far more important than Testlink.
How do you identify Mysql install for Testlink vs Bugzilla

Why you need to have TWO different instances of MySQL?
in any case you can do it, just need to use different ports -> need to configure to my.ini or my.conf (do not remember right name -> go to MySQL site) then you can install TL to use MySQL running in other port than standard (you can see example if you get our xampp+bugzilla+mantis+tl bundle)
