TestLink 1.9 & Jira 4.2 (General Discussion)

Post by tatari »

Hi All,

The data on integration between is Jira 4.2 and TestLink 1.9 is fragmented and unclear.

Can someone describe in simple terms what level of integration is possible?

Is integration from TL to Jira only or is it both ways (i.e. after a Jira issue has been created via TL will the status of this update in TL?)

How is Jira user authentication treated?

Also there seems to be conflicting recommendations re. $g_interface_bugs = 'JIRA'; OR $g_interface_bugs = 'JIRASOAP'

Is SOAP the recommend approach?

On a more general note: If someone could write a decent Jira plugin for integration with TL companies like ours would happily pay top $ for it.

You can work for a big company and have the big money, but can avoid to express in the way you have done:

Hey there, if your looking for jira integration and testlink feel free to message me. We use AD and LDAP and have it integrated and working with mixed linux/windows environments. We use MS SQL Server and linux for php side. Let me know what you need and perhaps I can help.

Hi fman - I think you misunderstood me.. by "Jira plugin" I was referring to commercially available add-ons for *Jira* developed by 3rd parties ( see https://plugins.atlassian.com/search/by/jira )

this was not a criticism of the excellent work done by the TestLink community on developing and evolving TestLink which is a top class test management tool
