Add the project leader in the test project management

Post by lookyller »

A major problem in daily , when anybody alter some resources in the project (like requirements, test cases and others), it's exactly to identify "who alter that resource?" and "what the exactly resource edited or added in the Testlink tool?". A good form to resolve this, would be to send an email communicating a "Project Leader" or some responsible for managing these changes and maintain consistency of the project.

I'd like to propose the inclusion of this feature (if the team have not already), of configure a project leader user or responsible user for that project used to receive the notifications sended for the system, and a specific form to configuring "what notification types the project leader should receive?" - requirements notifications, test cases notification, and stuff.

What do you think?

1. as usual implementation is not as easy as seems.
2. this can be part or item monitoring feature ( only requirement management is planned)
3. sending email for changes always seems a good idea, but one minute later people who is getting the notification start saying how can i disable this?
4. On some extent test link event viewer feature covers part of this need IMHO
5. for feature requests (as is clearly stated on one fixed post on each forum) you has to use mantis and not forum
6. in any case you have to provide a very detailed requirement spec for this (what is written on this post is not enough for a feasibility analysis)
