Issue updating from 1.8.5 to 1.9.2

Post by darrenl »

I think I'm following all of the instructions correctly for an upgrade from 1.8.5 to 1.9.2, however; when right after the "Definition of DB access" step, I get the following message.

====

TestLink setup will now attempt to setup the database:

Creating connection to Database Server:OK!

Connecting to database `testlink`:OK!

Your DB Schema DB 1.4 is the last available, then you don't need to do any upgrade.
Script is finished.

====

Nothing happens after that step. It's like everything comes to a complete stop.

I've searched all over the forums for solutions but am unable to find a solution. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Same here, only I was trying to update from 1.8.4 to 1.9.2.

Exactly the same message:
TestLink setup will now attempt to setup the database:
Creating connection to Database Server:OK!
Connecting to database `testlink`:OK!
Your DB Schema DB 1.4 is the last available, then you don't need to do any upgrade.
Script is finished.

But of course, TestLink page does not work - lots of SQL errors thrown.

Anyone?

from 1.8.4 to 1.9.3 even.
I can run scripts manually, just want it to work...

When you launch a fresh installation you get

>> Upgrade from 1.8.x versions to 1.9.1 ONLY. Older releases should be migrated to 1.8 version at first.
Pretty clear IMHO, then step 1.get 1.9.1 upgrade 2. then upgrade manually from 1.9.1 to 1.9.3
