Good day
We want to peruse the Results export functionality for our existing Test Plan. The feature works and we can export the test plan to update the test cases which has been executed already.
Our challenge is the following Use Case :
Testplan contains e.g. 1000 test cases
TesterA has 150 test cases assigned to him that he needs to mark as Passed.
When TesterA export the results, he sees all Testcases in Testplan. It now becomes tedious for him to remove all test cases not assigned to him, and then update his own results and import the results.
For the Test Execution, there is a filter, which can list only Testcases assigned to a specific user for example.
Can a filter be applied to the results export feature or do I need to log this as an enhancement?
Kindly,
Marlo

Mantis 6470: Test Execute - Export for Results Imports => honors filters
Re: Export of results for import - Filter Query
Wow, that was instantaneous.
Thanks for the logging and resolving of the bug all-in-one-go.
I presume this will be made available in 1.9.11?
Could I go ahead and try to hotfix this on my platform, or is this to high risk?

avaliable on 1.9.12,
you can get commit from gitorious and apply changes file by file, do not think is risky

Re: Export of results for import - Filter Query
So I applied the hotfix by manually copying the new files over onto our server and restarting the Apache service.
After logging in to Testlink and testing the Test Execution page, I can now verify the "Export for Results Import" is working as per fix in Bug #6470.
I tested by applying Filter to : Keyword, Priority, Assignee and Execution Type.
For each filter, only the correct return results are exported into xml format.
Thanks once again for the fix fman.

good to know.
It would be nice if in the future your company can support the development in some way
