Do Test Case final verdict respect single steps verdict ?

Post by maxveneziano »

It seems that the Test case final verdic doesn't take into account the single TC steps results.
This means that the Tester executor can select and save Passed for the overall TC final result although any of the single step result is Failed.
Is this in line with the expected TL behaviour or it is a bug ?
The test executor appears free to declare as Passed also a TC that contains intermediate step failed verdict and no aotomatic checkig is active to avoid this
If this it would result in a bug, I'll record it in mantis.
TIA

this is a design choice, that provide more flexibility (IMHO).
You can open a feature request (and contribute with code) on mantis.
