Should I be able to export to CSV

When I click on the Excel icon on top here, I am expecting a CSV file generated/download or redirect, the only thing I get is about 15 seconds later a plank white frame (Using Chrome). I'm missing something obvious in my workflow here. I really really need to export my test run, but I cannot work out how to filter to generate a filtered report - so I am about to ugrade from 9.15 to 9.19, but I know when we last did an upgrade, we had to roll back to 1.9.15 because of issues which my predecessor did not write down, so very keen to understand how the program should work, so I dont upgrade and find that issue was my configuration was wrong somehow.

Export report to CSV? Or should I simply hook into the database tables, which sounds messy? What do most users do?

Unfortunately is not possible to provide support for 1.9.15.
I suppose that Creating a kind of sandbox db to test the upgrade can not be too costly, and this will be a way to check if issue is still present on branch tl1.19.9.01

other option your company can buy support
