firefox 2.0.0.11 doesn't work? Can't log into TestLink?

Post by angelawallace0 »

All, I looked through the bugs and didn't see a bug regarding firefox 2.0.0.11 not able to log into test link.

I had a report from one of my people that he couldn't log in. We tracked it down and it turns out he was trying to use firefox. With IE he can log in.

I installed firefox on my system and see the same result. Rather than going to the testlink login screen you are presented with a popup titled "Authentication Required" and a request for a username/password. When I put in my testlink username/password I get stuck in a loop where this popup keeps coming up.

Has anybody else seen this? This seems to fundamental I feel like I'm missing something and I don't want to enter it as a bug just yet.

I put a brand new install of firefox on my system to see if I could duplicate the issue. I can duplicate it. I see the same thing my employee sees. I did, however, try again on my system and clear all personal data (cache, cookie, history, etc.). I still see the same issue.

Windows XP Pro, sp 2.

Everybody has the same OS installed. I'll work on this some more from home where I have various Windows and Linuxes installed.

Thanks. If I see this on other platforms then I might enter a defect. Until then I feel like I need to understand more.

Anymore suggests are welcome.

Issue resolved. This was actually an issue in IIS where somebody changed anonymous access, so you had to authenticate that you were a valid network user prior to accessing the TestLink site. Not sure who changed it or when it was changed, but it's fixed now.

Sorry for the noise! :-)
