French translation
Hello,
I made a new french translation after some discussion with GrdScarabe, the former french translator.
Is there some tools to ease translation (I have heard of .po files ?)
Is there a way to manage the explanations pages (in the right frame) ?
I would like to use utf-8, but I didn\'t find where to configure it (seems locked to iso-8859-1 for now).
Some strings are not localized (for example the title \"component ...\" in the right frame) Should I fill a bug ? send a patch ??
Thanks
Bruno

Hello:
Here some answers:
Q1: Is there some tools to ease translation (I have heard of .po files ?)
A1: we are not using gettext(), then we don\'t use .po files
Q2: Is there a way to manage the explanations pages (in the right frame) ?
A2: simple translate the pages to french.
Q3: I would like to use utf-8, but I didn\\\'t find where to configure it (seems locked to iso-8859-1 for now).
A3: I don\'t know how to help you.
Q4: Some strings are not localized (for example the title \\\"component ...\\\" in the right frame) Should I fill a bug ? send a patch ??
A4: open a issue on Mantis and attach the solution
The same is valid if you have the new french translation, post it on Mantis.
PLEASE post the attachments in compressed format (zip/tgz)
regards

About the help pages on the left frame I didn\'t see that they were localized, I will do the translation (maybe 2 weeks), but first check the utf8 issue.
About a dedicated forum ???
Thanks
Bruno

Hello,
I have completed the missing French translation strings of Testlink for French language (based on 1.8-RC2 version).
It was a quick & dirty work, but I think is it better than missing strings.
You can find the additionnal strings I've added on http://www.kavod.net/~boris/testlink-1. ... _local.txt
Hoping it can help.
Regards

Hi,
After downloaded the last release of Testlink 1.8.4, i saw there are still some french errors (Still in english or issues due to UTF-8 i suppose). As i am French, i propose you to translate the last issues.
Please, could you describe me the best way to help you to improve the French language translation?
Which is the last file? Should i use the Revision 1.21 file?
Best Regards,
JB

Hi,
I am using 1.8.4 and there is a lot of translations missing. Did anybody do the job ? (is that english ?)
I have add some translation, but there is still a lot of work ...
Is french community interested in french translation of TL or did you use the default one ?
