E-mail configuration 1.8.0

I have some difficulties with configuring the SMTP server. In 1.7.4 version of TL everything works, but when I installed 1.8.0 beta version (and used the same parameters), TL doesn't send e-mails for example when I'm reseting the password - I only get a 'blank' page.

There is a bug - a missing function on string_api.php file
Please post an issue on mantis and I will attach the fix.

Code on CVS has been fixed today.
You can get new code on monday if you get nightly tarball (look for link in this forum)
