Testlink 1.8 installation does not complete.

I am new to testlink and have been trying to install version 1.8 with easyphp for exploration.

The installation seems to hang while installing the new DB and displays the following message

"TestLink setup will now attempt to setup the database:

Creating connection to Database Server: "

Let me know if there is a way to figure out what is wrong with the installation.

I would also appreciate if anyone can advise on the next steps to complete the installation and access testlink.

run this as a script and see if u actually have a DB connection.

Check your php and mysql version (php4 is not supported).
