Steps / Expected Results arrangement 1.8 vs 1.7

Hi

I noticed that when creating a tc, the Steps editor in 1.8 is on top of Expected Results editor vs next to each other in 1.7.

Is there a particular reason for this?
I preferred the old way since you can keep a better overview steps/outcome.

you can configure it, inspect config.inc.php
