Our QA department has a similar question... they would like to export to MS Word format.
If you click on Home > Generate Test Specification document , the page on the right explains: 'Purpose:
From here you can print a single test case, all the test cases within a test suite, or all the test cases in a test project or plan.'
But although I am very unexperienced with TestLink, I get the impression that it is impossible to export a single test case, but that it prints out the entire test suite always. It seems to refuse to open the test suite folder, but when you try to open it, it just changes the folder icon to a test case icon and prints the contents of it.
Maybe you can try this also? Maybe our QA just created their test cases in the wrong way or something and this way I can get external feedback on this issue.

Submitted it into Mantis Bugtracker
