Test link 1.8.4 New Install Error On Win 7 - $errors."

I am installing and configuring TestLink for the first time. I have followed the installation steps in the installation manual for a fresh install.

I receive the error listed below when launching the page "/testlink/install/newInstallStart_TL.php?installationType=new"

The error message is not listed in the FAQ and I have not been able to locate it in a forum posting. I would greatly appreciate your comments/suggestions with this issue.

- Apache Tomcat 6, MySQL 5.1, PHP 5.3.0, Testlink 1.8.4, IE 8.0
