I have 2 Testplans in my Testlink namely Manual Testing and Automation testing.
I have customized my testlink and added 2 new "status" Scripted & Nonautomatable besides pass/fail& blocked. But this new status appears in all the testplans.
My requirement is as below
Testplan1 which is Manual testing :-should only show pass/fail/blocked (it should not show scripted& nonautomatable)
Testplan2 which is Automation testing :- should only show Scripted & Nonautomatable (it should not show pass/fail/blocked)
Has any body tried the above customization. Is this possible to acheive this ?
Thanks in advance.
Is it possible to add Test plan specific Status

I have no idea, I guess some one has to answer your Question if they probably tried that. As for my knowledge, No, we are not showing it in such way.
Reason:
Execution status is like global variable, this status is also used in the reports
1. I hope the only thing i can suggest you is that you can probably instruct you team, Manual team, not to touch the other status and vice versa to the automation team.
2. But there is also no harm in showing them.

If this customization is not possible then i am left only with the option of instructing my manual and automation teams to use only those status's which are applicable to them and not to touch other's.
How ever i was wondering If by any means we can supress certain status's eg scripted & nonautomatable only from Test execution page of Manual Testing testplan then that should work well. This will only be a GUI job and will not affect the internal's.
In all the reports and metric's let all the system wide status appear.
Thanks
Prashant

I think You can also give try by this way.
Create two key word, Automation & Manual testing. and assign them to the respective test suites. No need to create/it is up to u to create a custom status. But from they key words in results you can know view the separate table for the results,
