[SOLVED] Unable to view attachments Testlink 1.9 Beta 5

Post by nasirimam »

Hi,

We are using Testlink 1.9 Beta 5 and are able to upload attachments successfully. But whenever we try to download an attached file, it opens up html with some alien coding. Has any faced this issue or has any fix/solution?

We would appreciate if you can help us with this issue.

Thanks,
Nasir

Does that mean it is bug in Beta 5 and has been fixed in Beta 6.

See we are very critical stage of testing and would appreciate if we have fix...

if you are observing this under IE, then try with Chrome. We observed that under IE, the delete option is not seen, however, using Chrome, we could see and delete the attachments.

I have the same problem on TestLink 1.9 RC1 and after some googling I found that the problem is due to an extra blank line in the config_db.inc.php under the testLink home directory.

I have removed any blank lines or extra chars after the last PHP tag (?>) and it started to work fine immediately.

The file config_db.inc.php is updated during the installation process, I do not remember to have touched it and it seems to say that there is something wrong there during that phase.
